These 3 insanely sharp files are real film grain scans with mild dirt and dust. They were shot using a vintage 16mm camera, so this is the real thing you are getting. If you want to give your footage a new dimension by adding some old film effects, well working with these overlays will definitely give you that old film look you are looking for. These files are compatible with Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X and After Effects, so if you are just a tiny bit experienced with these softwares, well you are good to go. Just drop the files in the timeline over your footage and play around with the blend modes. You can also tweak the overlay files by using basic effects such as brightness and contrast. Just experiment, have fun and very soon you will become the master of the old film overlay effects.

3 video files of 4K film grain overlays, 33 seconds of footage, ProRes HQ, 4K (ULTRA HD) 3840 × 2160, 24fps.
Bonus Files: 5K original files with sprocket holes on the side and the HD versions for those of you who are not ready yet to go 4K.

This is a snapshot showing you what the 4K Film Grain Overlays look like.

This is a snapshot of one of the original 5K scans.

Video creators sometimes love to integrate the old 16mm sprocket holes into their visual design, so as bonus, you also get the raw versions of the film frames.
